Pantone Color of the Year 2017: Greenery

Pantone Color Institute recently announced ‘Greenery’ as their expertly chosen Color of the Year 2017– a shade strikingly similar to our iconic Empty Vase green!

Every year, Pantone selects a color meant to be a symbolic “snapshot of a particular moment in time” based on art, politics, and global culture in general.  Reminiscent of the first blade of grass in the spring, Greenery is “a refreshing and revitalizing shade, symbolic of new beginnings.”  What could be more appropriate as we charge into the New Year?  A fresh and zesty yellow-green, Greenery is illustrative of flourishing folliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the foritfying attributes signaling consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.  “A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.”

Pantone says that “Greenery is nature’s neutral,” and thats something we can stand behind at Empty Vase!
